Students get up to the active work and react showing thumbs –up ,if they like or thumbs-down, if they dislike doing any actions.
They watch the short animated cartoon Escalade, note down some personal associations with given signs, think critically; identify what the lesson is going to be about; briefly introduce the topic of the lesson.
Students brainstorm on the word value and give their definition and note in their worksheets.
Students make their predictions, show their background knowledge, note some variants in their worksheets and discuss the types and eternal and timeless values.
One student comes to the teachers workplace and gets involved into the experience, follows teachers instructions and makes up his mind about his personal values. Other students ask questions and comment upon the experiment and think of their personal values (If I were on his place, I would choose…) and create their own Value trees.
1-2 students present their trees through the involving into the imagining situation and present themselves basing on their Value system .
Students divide into pairs using Clock buddies (5 – 6 pairs) and write 4 objects on the cards; change the cards and interpret these things from the Value System point of view; answer teachers questions and make sum-up.
