Warm-up:
Pass around a box filled with questions connected to the topic of the lesson. Play music, when the music stops, the child with the box must pick out a question, read it and answer. Suggested questions: Do you love your family? Do you have a best friend? What is money? What is health? What is happiness? How often do you help your mother? Whats your favorite holiday? etc.
Activity 1
Point out that all the words in the box are prepositions of place and direction and ask students to check their meaning in a dictionary
Use two books and a pen to demonstrate the meaning of the prepositions, e. g. put the pen behind one of the books and ask Where is the pen? Then place it between the two books and ask again then hold it above one of the books.
In pairs, students look at the photo and complete the description with five of the prepositions in the box.
