day we give our mothers presents and flowers, also all people in the family want their mothers to have little or no work to do. They help them with the meals and try to make it a day off for their mothers. There is an interesting tradition in villages and towns in England. Its the Pancake Day. It is usually in March. On this day people cook pancakes and not only eat them, they organize the pancakes races. The housewives take part in them. They must run 410 meters, toss the pancakes and catch them back on the frying-pan. The children watch and shout Run, Mum, run quickly!

Its interesting to know that we call tea with milk- English tea and tea with lemon- Russian tea. And tea with bergamot is Queens favourite tea.
Pupil 4: And Id like to tell you about not very old traditions, but we mark them with great honour. They are Remembrance Day and Victory Day. Remembrance Day is the day when we honour the memory of British soldiers who lost their lives during two world wars. The people go to Londons Cenotaph, which was built in 1920 to the memory of those soldiers who did not come from the World War I. Remembrance D ay is on the 11-th of November. And on Victory Day we celebrate the anniversary of the victory over the fascists. And now Id like to ask our Ukrainian friends to tell about their traditions and customs.
