I have a friend - a fascinating one, the one who has inspired me since I first made up my mind to travel abroad. Once I set out on a journey to the Netherlands. My journey started in Saint Petersburg. It was a perfect summer of 2012. It was July and it was hot. It was a package tour and I was waiting for the bus to make way to Finland. The place near me was vacant. Suddenly a girl of my age got on the bus. I was happy when she took that place because I was alone and didnt mind having someone to talk to. We made friends very quickly. We found out we had much in common and the journey went on very well. She told me about her adventures, about the countries she had visited, about the challenges she had taken, about the people she had met and what not. When we got back home, I thought that I was never going to see that girl again. But luckily I was wrong. Half a year later she called me and told me that we were going to travel to Prague. I didnt hesitate. Half a year later she suggested that we visit Norway. And we went to Norway. Then, again half a year later she told me that we were travelling to Berlin. And I agreed, of course. Next summer we went to Switzerland and it was fantastic. In winter we travelled to Riga and had a great Christmas time there. Im so grateful to my friend, you know.
