Could you tell me, what all this knowledge is for if the school -leaves dont know what profession to choose. They have no time to think about it It isnt a secret that everybody would like to make a career. But doing sums and writing compositions children dont see the life, they only want to please teachers and parents.
Instead of preparing for future career they sit systematically at their home task.
I want you to pay attention on our resolution.
Home task mustnt be compulsory.
Our definition Is: A home task is a number of things or points given to a student by the teacher on different school subjects.
We dont say that we are against the home task at all. We say that doing home task completely mustnt be compulsory. We stress once more: completely, in all subjects. We think so, because it takes much time to do them. Here follows our criterion.
Doing home task completely leaves no time for career making and self -perfection.
Our 1st argument is: Career making is a vital thing for teenagers.
Choosing future profession is a very important process for every pupil. A student must have right to choose the subjects he or she prefers and not to follow strictly the programme, one for everybody. Genius people were not good at school, as a rule they were bad, but they did more, than the rest of people.
The name of Mendeleev is familiar to you. He never got into upper school, because he didnt want to study Latin, compulsory at that time. He got bad marks, but he spared more time on chemistry and physics. You cant disagree with me that he did much for us.
