A Ghost story
Let me present the story that I have recently read. The story is called A Ghost story written by Mark Twain. First of all Id like to tell a few words about the impression the story has produced on me. I cant say that the impression is very good, as I was expecting something more. I really liked the beginning with something terrible to happen, but when the giant appeared everything seemed boring for me.
The language of the story is simple. The composition is traditional. It involves the reader gradually as the plot is developing step by step. The reader is smoothly sliding down into the context. The story is presented in the 1st person narration.
This is a story of a man, who rents a room which was unoccupied for years and turns out to be haunted. But as the ghost appears the relief follows as it turns out to be the Cardiff Giant who cant find piece because of his body being located in the museum across the street. And the feelings and dignity if the ghost are lowered when it turns out that his real body is not even in the museum but in the other state. He leaves, miserable and alone.
