Today is your day,
Time to eat cakes,
Drink tea and play.
There are so many ways
To have birthday fun:

Compere 1:I think that all of you like to drink tea.
Compere 2:Yes, you are right. To my mind, we know too little about this magnificent beverage.
Compere 1: It seems so easy and so usual to drink a cup of tea. But ask yourself, "How much do I know about tea?"
Compere 2:Almost all of us say, "Not much really. "
Compere 1:Lets learn about the origin of tea, about traditions and customs of tea drinking in Russia.

Pupil:The tradition of tea drinking in Russia started in 1638. Mongol Khan Altyn
sent a gift to the Russian Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich. It was more than 4 kilos
of tea leaves. In 1679 Russia concluded a contract with China for delivery
of tea.







Tea became very popular beverage in Russia. Soon the habit of tea drinking
spread all over the country. Tea had a good reputation but it was too
expensive.
At the end of the 19th century the plantations of tea appeared in Krasno-
dar region. Krasnodar tea was one of the most aromatic sorts of tea.
