the first thing you have to be is courageous. You have to be calm at all times, and of course you have to be fit as well. The great thing about the job is helping people – you have the chance to save lives. Unfortunately it is a dangerous job. Considering the risks, its not well paid either. On the whole, though, I think the good things outweigh the bad ones.
Radio Presenter. : I see. Thank you, Reg. Finally, our last guest today is Jenny Baxter, a nurse. Jenny, what are the most qualities for a nurse to possess?
Nurse. : Firs and foremost , a nurse has to be patient. Sick people can be very difficult and worst things you can do is lose your temper. You have to be sympathetic and caring too, so that people know you care about them. Its a very satisfying job - you always know youve done your best to help people. Unfortunately its a not well paid job, not in Britain, anyway. But, I cant imagine doing another job, though nursing is my life.

Teacher: Choosing a career is not an easy thing. Young people face a lot of difficulties when they make up their mind about the future profession. Have you decided what profession to choose? What do your family and friends think about your choice?
