Florida is rich in wildlife of all kinds. Of all the animals that are found in the United States, more than half of them are found in and around Florida. State laws protect some animals. Special attention is paid to the manatee, bald eagle, pelican, sea turtle, and porpoise.
The manatee is a large sea animal, It isnt afraid of people and often plays with swimmers. Its greatest danger is a motorboat. There are rivers where motorboats are not allowed so they are safe for the manatee.
