le. Her hobbies are horse-breeding and horse-racing.
She is famous for Diamond Jubilee, which we celebrated in 2013, marking 60 years on the throne. Her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, reigned for 63 years, so we need only another 3 years for the record to be broken!

Charles Darwin
Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, on 12 February 1809 at his family home, The Mount. He was the fifth of six children of wealthy society doctor and financier Robert Darwin, and Susannah Darwin.
Darwin was the British naturalist who became famous for his theories of evolution and natural selection. Like several scientists before him, Darwin believed that all the life on Earth developed gradually over millions of years from a few common ancestors.
The eight-year-old Charles already had a taste for natural history and collecting when he joined the day school run by its preacher in 1817. That July, his mother died. From September 1818 he joined his older brother Erasmus attending the nearby Anglican Shrewsbury School.
In October 1825 he entered the University of Edinburgh Medical School, at the time the best medical school in the UK.
On 27 December 1831; his voyage of Beagle began, it lasted almost five years. As captain had intended, Darwin spent most of that time on land investigating geology and making natural history collections, while the Beagle surveyed and charted coasts. In South America Darwin found fossils of extinct animals that were similar to modern species. On Galapagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean he noticed many variations among plants and animals of the same general type as those in South America. The expedition visited places around the world, Darwin studied plants and animals everywhere he went.
