P3: Charlie Chaplin was an English actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He became famous when there was no sound in films. The famous actor was born in a poor family. He didnt have a father and his mother worked very hard. So Chaplin began performing at an early age. At 19 he went to America and performed there. Chaplin wrote, directed, played and even composed music for his films.
Chaplin is one of the most important actors in the film industry.

P4, P5: Joseph Turner was the son of a barber. At the age of fifteen he exhibited his first picture.
Turner was very fond of nature and often went alone on trips through England and Wales. While travelling, he liked to draw ruined abbeys and castles.
Turner was famous for the wonderful colours in his pictures. Most of them were landscapes and sea pictures.
He was a master of water-colours.
