The Puma
One of the American animals which do not occupy huge area is the puma. As a rule the puma lives on the territories covered with mountain woods that has given it the name a mountain lion. At the same time it is met in boggy jungle, flat tropical woods.
This mountain lion is the largest animal of the fauna of America. In length It reaches 197 sm. , its weight is up to 105 kg. The puma has a strong body, a small head, strong legs, a long tail. The fur is rich, but short. The puma runs very quickly, perfectly climbs trees, if necessary it swims.
The puma hunts different animals from mice up to monkeys and deer. Very seldom the puma attacks domestic cattle and birds. Usually 3 or 5 cubs are born. They live about 20 years.

The Siberian tiger
The Siberian tiger is also known as the Amour tiger, Manchurian tiger. It is written in the Red book.
In 1996 there were about 450 tigers.
The Siberian tiger is a big animal, it has exotic color, it is one of the biggest beasts of prey of our planet.
Its length is about 2m. Its mass is about 350 kg. It runs at a speed of 50 km/h.
The Siberian tiger doesnt attack people.
It is a very beautiful and dangerous animal.
