Alternative energy

Alternative energy is a set of technologies for generating electricity from non-traditional or alternative renewable energy sources. Alternative energy is practically safe for ecology and the environment. Alternative energy significantly reduces risk of threat to human health.
It is developed in the Russian Federation since the time of the pre-war USSR.
All energy sources are divided into two groups - non-renewable and renewable. Non-renewable ones include oil, coal, gas and nuclear energy. The renewable group is divided into two more ones - traditional and non-traditional energy sources. Renewable energy sources - solar energy, wind energy, water energy
In the world, alternative energy is developing very soon after the 1973 oil crisis, when humanity realized how high its dependence on non-renewable sources and prices on them.
Today, alternative energy is very important , despite the active opposition of the oil and gas lobby. The increasing political, economic and environmental crises that have been provoked by the development of the alternative energy have the potential to affect the energy security of states and regions.
Russia, which has significant reserves of unconventional fuel and has the opportunity to use one and sometimes two or more renewable energy sources in each of its regions, was in no hurry with the development of alternative energy up to the 2000s.
Today Russia has a successful experience of creating power plants on virtually all known types of renewable energy sources. The problem is the lack of real state support for alternative energy production, despite the adoption in the late 2000s of a number of fundamental decisions and the governments policy of innovation.
